How to Play Emotion Detective: Daily Case
One shared case a day. Two emotions, five assignments, one report. File your case, get instant reconstructed evidence, and see how the judges score it.
The Core Loop
- 1
Get your clues
Every day, the Dispatch Center reveals two emotion clues.
- 2
Choose your assignment
Pick one of today's five Case Assignments. Each shapes a different kind of evidence.
- 3
Write the report
Tell the story in your own words. Reports are up to 500 counted characters.
- 4
Punctuation is free
Periods, commas, question marks, and exclamation points don't count toward the limit.
- 5
File the case
Submit your report. No waiting — the case is processed immediately.
- 6
Reconstruct the evidence
The idea is rebuilt into the assignment's intended evidence type: image, motion, audio, or a mix.
- 7
Face the judges
Four AI judges score the case, 0–10 each. Maximum score is 40.
- 8
Share or replay
Enjoy the evidence, replay it, and share the Case File if you want others to see it.
500 characters. Get funny. Get crazy. Get out of this world. Use your wildest imagination!

Daily Structure
One shared Daily Case
Normal players on the same calendar day receive the same two emotions and the same five assignment choices in the same order.
Yesterday's Spotlight
The previous day's selected winning case is featured before you start today's case.
Hall of Fame
Top 30 cases from the past 30 days, ranked by score. Competition ranking: ties share the same rank.
My Case Files
Your personal archive of filed cases, newest first. Replay your own evidence anytime.
Current Streak
Filing a legitimate Daily Case on a calendar day counts once toward your streak. Same-day repeats or resets do not increase it. No penalties, no repair mechanics.
Media Expectations
Different assignments create different evidence. Some may be a still image, a motion clip, a recorded narration, a speech, a podcast-style piece, or a song. Song and lyric assignments are performed rather than simply read — expect the finished evidence to be sung when the assignment calls for it.
This is the broadcast version of Emotion Detective: Daily Case. The private creative studio, friends, and personal cases live in Rediscovery — a separate experience.
